My journey to Vietnam starting the 22.09. ending the 01.10.2006...
For each day the nicest pictures :)
In Vietnam you can pay in USD or in local money (1 USD ~ 15000 Dong), thats why everybody of us was a millionaire... people told us to keep USD but looking back I say: change money to Dong, it is much more convenient and it will also save you some money cos a lot of things (e.g. all drinks) cost less than 1 USD!!!
First day we landed in Hanoi and directly took a night train to Sapa, which is 380km to the north. Since Vodka is very expensive in S'pore (about 20 EUR), we bought two bottles in duty free for 13 USD each :)
Pic in the night train, which was quite OK, actually much better than I had expected :) The group is Nicolas, Marine, Stephane (all fra), me, Chris (all ger)...in the train we also bought some beer and Chris was quite surprised to hear that cigarettes in Vietnam cost 10.000 Dong which is 0.52 EUR. So harming your health is really tempting...
